What is Boojee Cafe?

Boojee Cafe is an all-day cafe brand from Mumbai built around brunch plates, bakery items and specialty coffee. It was founded by chef-owner Rajdeep Singh Kukreja, who is named as the owner by both Curly Tales and LBB. The concept, as Curly Tales described it, is healthy food that is affordable and also tastes good.

The name is a play on the slang word for something fancy. Staff told an LBB reviewer in 2019 that it stands for a luxurious lifestyle with humble beginnings, which fits the story of how the cafe started.

Food writers keep returning to the same handful of things: avocado toasts, eggs Benedict, the all-day breakfast menu, croissants baked in the cafe, and coffee made from beans the cafe roasts itself. Vogue Singapore included it in a January 2026 list of the best cafes to visit in Mumbai, and the Free Press Journal has named it among Bollywood celebrities' regular haunts, with Ananya Panday and Shahid Kapoor reported as visitors.

From a 100 sq ft counter to five outlets

The first Boojee Cafe opened in Bandra West in 2019. According to Curly Tales, it was a tiny space of roughly 100 sq ft with about 15 seats and no washroom. Curly Tales, citing Bizz India, also reported that Kukreja put in close to Rs 10 lakh of his own savings, though that figure has not been independently confirmed.

The 2019 room was decorated in black and white with graffiti and quote walls, as LBB described it. By 2023 the cafe had taken over neighbouring units, including the shop next door and a former Chinese restaurant. Finely Chopped reported that the expanded Bandra space seats about 56 to 58 people and has minimalist grey walls and large windows.

The brand then opened in Worli and Fort. In August 2026, Time Out Mumbai and Curly Tales reported that a new outlet at One BKC was coming soon. No awards have been found in reliable sources.

The Bandra West delivery menu on magicpin, seen in October 2026, gives a good idea of the price range. These are delivery listing prices and may not match what you pay at the table.

• All-day breakfast: about Rs 350 (fried eggs) to Rs 700 (parmesan mushroom and truffled scrambled eggs). Salmon Egg Benedict was listed at Rs 650.
• Toasts: avocado toasts at Rs 550, truffled avocado toast at Rs 680.
• Millet crepes (gluten free): Rs 450 to Rs 480.
• Hot coffee: Rs 200 for a double espresso up to Rs 440 for hot chocolate.
• Iced coffee and cold brews: Rs 250 to Rs 450.
• Bakery: almond croissant Rs 280, strawberry croissant Rs 360.

Practical information before you go

• Hours: Bandra and Fort are both listed as 7 am to 11 pm. A separate older magicpin listing labelled Pali Hill shows 10:30 pm closing, which is probably out of date.
• Queues: OT Eats noted a queue outside the Bandra outlet even on ordinary weekdays. Barista Magazine suggests going at breakfast time.
• Reservations: Fort can be booked through District. Bandra is listed on Swiggy Dineout, but most reviews describe walk-in queues.
• Service charge: 5% was reported in 2023 and a more recent Tripadvisor review mentions 7%. Check your bill.
• Payment: credit cards accepted, per Tripadvisor.
• Parking: Tripadvisor lists valet parking for Bandra; Swiggy lists parking available.
• Facilities (Bandra, Swiggy Dineout): free wifi, pet friendly, smoking area.
• Delivery: Bandra delivers through Zomato and magicpin.
• Drinks: no alcohol or hookah reported. It is a cafe.

Coffee beans and brewing gear

Coffee is a big part of the Boojee identity. Barista Magazine reported that the cafe roasts its own beans and sells coffee from Indian estates, including Ratnagiri, Salawara and Baarbara, along with brewing equipment. If you like a particular brew at the table, you can ask staff which beans went into it.

Alongside espresso drinks, the menu lists slow brew, cold drip, filter coffee and several cold brews flavoured with orange, coconut or almond. Barista Magazine also mentions a keto coffee with ghee and cacao foam, a Jaggery Cortado and an Espresso Chai Latte.

Vibe and seating

The expanded Bandra cafe has indoor air-conditioned seating and some non-AC outdoor seats, with a mix of high and low tables. OT Eats describes it as part Parisian bakery and part sleek, sunlit cafe, and Vogue Singapore mentions greenery by the windows and carefully plated brunch dishes. It is popular for laptop mornings, catch-ups and photos of the food.

The Fort outlet is listed by District as kid friendly and its menu tags are Continental, Desserts and Mexican.

Combining a visit with nearby sights
